Financing Options for Transfer Students

Transfer students at Drexel are eligible for the full range of financial aid. For more information, please see our financing options page. Transfer students are also eligible for merit-based scholarships.

In order to recognize outstanding academic achievement, transfer applications are automatically considered for Transfer Scholarships, which are offered to accepted and qualified students transferring to Drexel from two- and four-year colleges. Transfer Scholarships are awarded up to $16,000 and are renewable on a yearly basis.

To be considered for a Transfer Scholarship, you must:

  • have a minimum 3.2 cumulative GPA from all previously attended institutions
  • be enrolled as a full-time undergraduate in an on-campus day program

Additional Drexel non-need-based financial grants include:

  • Dragon Alumni Scholarship – A $1,000 scholarship awarded annually to enrolling undergraduates who have been recommended by a Drexel alumnus/a or trustee. The form must be postmarked by March 1.
  • Drexel Legacy Scholarship – A $3,000 award offered to children and grandchildren of Drexel University alumni.
  • Dragon Family Scholarship – A $3,000 award offered to each child from the same family enrolled full-time simultaneously.
  • Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship – An annual $1,500 scholarship to full-time transfer students who are active members of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. Nursing ACE, RN-BSN Degree Completion, Invasive Cardiovascular Technology, and Radiologic Technology applicants are not eligible for this scholarship.

Note: Nursing ACE, Radiologic Technology, and Invasive Cardiovascular Technology applicants are not eligible for Drexel scholarships and grants due to the unique format of the programs' curricula.
