Drexel will once again take part in the City of Philadelphia's annual Philly Spring Cleanup. Volunteers will be divided into groups and sent to their designated cleanup locations. Please click here to register as a volunteer.

The Drexel Sierra Student Coalition will host a Social Event with the Sierra Club of Philadelphia featuring food and live music. They will be highlighting the current events surrounding MTR in West Virginia, as well as the Keystone XL Pipeline and celebrating the start to Earth Week.

Drexel Green’s annual Earth Day Block Party will be held on Tuesday, April 22, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. along Lancaster Walk behind the Drexel Recreation Center on the University City Campus. Simultaneous Earth Day events will also take place on the Queen Lane and Center City Campuses. Vendors and organizations from within the University and the local community will set up tables with educational materials, giveaways, refreshments, trivia and activities celebrating the natural environment and sustainable practices. Join scientists and environmental advocates for a free symposium on Tuesday, April 22, at the Academy of Natural Sciences of Drexel University. The symposium will explore how Dr. Patrick launched the field of Environmental Science, her many contributions and how her work has spurred the grand evolution of the field in the 21st Century. The Drexel Sierra Club will be hosting a Clothing Swap on Race Street Lawn, where students, faculty and professional staff can donate any unneeded or gently used clothes. Attendees are welcome to swap any articles of clothes they donate for other donated items. All leftover items will be donated to Philly AIDS Thrift. The Sierra Club will also be selling baked goods made with organic ingredients (vegan and gluten-free options will be available).
