The application deadline for engineering students interested in studying in Bochum, Germany has been extended until April 9th, 2012. Please contact the study abroad office if you are interested in applying for this opportunity.

New Study Abroad Opportunity for Engineers

The Study Abroad Office along with the College of Engineering has created a brand new program for ECE, MEM and Computer Engineering students during their summer term. This unique hybrid program allows Drexel students to take a full course-load of engineering courses (16-19 credits) while studying in one of the most dynamic cities in South Korea. Drexel students will be joined by Hanyang University students in some of their courses. Besides traditional engineering coursework students will be working with Hanyang university faculty in directed research and also have the opportunity to take a Korean language course. Application Deadline is April 15th.

New Scholarship for Biomedical Engineering Undergraduates

The Whitaker International Program recently established a new undergraduate grant for biomedical engineering and bioengineering students studying abroad. Up to $7,500 will be awarded to students participating in semester-long programs and $10,000 for year-long studies. This new undergraduate program was created with the goal of increasing the number of biomedical engineers studying abroad. Students who apply must demonstrate a financial need for support to participate in study abroad. Priority will be given to those who study in non-traditional locations.
