Rewarding the best idea for change...
I am pleased to announce a new award program open to our faculty and staff - the ones who know Drexel the best. For some time we have had in place under the StudentsFirst initiative the STOP Program. “STOP” stands for “Stop The Obstructive Practice or Policy.” We have already received many very good ideas, some of which have been implemented. I am sure there are many more creative thoughts about how we can make Drexel work better for students.
Frequently I receive very good ideas from students for making positive change at Drexel. For the past several years, I have awarded $1,000 to the student who presents the best idea for change. Now, I would like to make this same $1,000 award available to our employees as a part of the STOP Program.
In early June, I will review all the submissions which have come into the STOP portion of the StudentsFirst web site since last June. Then I will select one person to receive the $1,000 award. That award will be made during the students' Commencement on June 17th, so that the awardee can be recognized by the student customers who will benefit from the suggestion. I look forward to receiving your great ideas!
Please click STOP to access our simple template in order to submit your idea. Your contact information is optional. Each submission receives a careful review and, if necessary, it is researched for feasibility before being implemented. I receive regular reports of the submissions and the follow up activities.
Best Regards,
