Orientation Check-in will begin at 8:15 AM in the Papadakis Integrated Science Building Lobby (33rd and Chestnut Streets).

General Schedule – Thursday, January 5th

8:15am - Registration, Information Fair & Continental Breakfast
Grab some breakfast and stop by our “stuff your bag” tables to stock up on information about all things Drexel. 
9:00am University Welcome
Welcome from the Dean of Students, Dr. David A. Ruth and Dr. John DiNardo, Vice Provost for Academic Affairs.
9:10 – 9:50am Financing Your Future: Financial Aid and Billing
                         Public Safety
  Student Conduct and Community Standards
10:10 - 10:50am Break-Out Groups
Talk with current Drexel students to learn more about your experience as a Drexel Dragon. Also, take the opportunity to ask any of those burning questions.

11:00am - Noon  Mock Classroom: Prepare for the Drexel Academic Experience
Getting Engaged: How You Can Take Campus by Storm
12:00pm  Lunch
Center City Students will be able to meet with Center City Student Life Staff and students during this time.
12:40 – 1:30pm  Experiential Learning, Co-op, and Panel Discussion
Housing, Dining, Commuting, and You

  Campus Tour through Scavenger

2:40 pm    Transfer Orientation Check-out, Campus Business, Dragon Card Id pictures and Appointments with Academic Advisors

Students who have not yet met with their academic advisors will have the opportunity to do so.  Students who have already met with their advisors can take this time to take care of other University business.

Due to the educational focus and length of all workshops and activities, students may want to consider not bringing their children to Orientation.

Before you arrive

Please review the Registration and What to Bring pages for more information about what you need to do to prepare for a successful Orientation and a smooth transition to Drexel.

When you are on campus

Look for New Student Orientation staff members in BLUE SHIRTS to provide directions to all campus locations. 

Parking

Free Parking is available throughout the day at the Drexel Parking Garage located at 34th & Ludlow Streets.

Late Registration & Check-In

Papadakis Integrated Sciences Building (PISB - 33rd and Chestnut Streets) Students and families arriving after 9:00 AM should register in the PISB Lobby.

Breakfast (and all other meals)

A continental breakfast and lunch will be served in the Papadakis Integrated Sciences Building Lobby at the time indicated on the schedule above.

Opening Session

Thursday, January 5th, Papadakis Integrated Sciences Building, Room 120 (33rd and Chestnut Streets).
Begins at 9:00am.
