What is DUST?

DUST stands for Drexel University Student Technicians. DUST is a group composed of Drexel University students who perform the task of audio and image magnification support for Drexel university events.  Any organization that has an event on the Drexel University main campus can utilize DUST services for a fraction of the cost of hiring an outside sound company.  In fact, recognized student organizations may request DUST services for free.

How do I request DUST services?

1.      First, you must be sure to RESERVE your event space with the reservations office. For more information regarding reservations click here.

2.      Pick up a DUST request form at the DUST office (119 Creese) or print the online version.

3.      Fill out the DUST request form and turn it into the DUST office at least week one before the date of your event. DUST requests turned in with less than a weeks notice may be subject to a $100 service charge, or may not be filled at all.

4.      Contact the DUST office at 215-895-1330 two days prior to your event to confirm arrangements.

**NOTE:  DUST requests are accepted on a first come, first served basis as equipment  and technicians are available.

Why should I use DUST?

The combination of the DUST members' professionalism and our modern equipment (for example, we use the same wireless microphones as several major performers) make DUST a respected group on the university campus.  Most importantly, DUST technicians are less expensive than an outside companies, but they still provide the excellent service and results of a professional sound company.
