Services Offered
Our physicians are trained to provide comprehensive care for our
students in a compassionate and respectful manner.
Services include:
- Walk-in, urgent care
- Women's health care*
- Well woman care
- Pap smears
- Family planning
- Pregnancy testing
- Emergency Contraception
- Confidential HIV testing
- Allergy shots (storage on-site is
available)
- Nutrition and dietary counseling
- Diagnostic screening for vision,
hearing, blood pressure
- Smoking cessation
- Travel and routine immunizations
- Enhanced sports medicine care
provided by sports medicine specialists for all students, including
intramural
and club team members as well as varsity sports team members
- Minor surgical procedures
- Vaccines
- Health Notes / Excused Class Absense
In addition to the services listed above, our physicians
provide general medical care for everything from colds and flu
to gastrointestinal
problems, from asthma to dermatological problems.
Students may also access the Women’s Care Center (WCC) on our Center City Hahnemann Campus. WCC offers comprehensive Family Planning (contraception, STD screening and treatment and counseling), gynecologic and obstetric services. Visits are by appointment with customized visit types available such as “initial non-medical for contraception”, and “contraceptive supply”.
Walk-in services are available for Rapid HIV screening (mouth swab and results in 20 minutes), pregnancy testing, options counseling and emergency contraception. All insurance types are accepted.
WCC offers Special Programs for women without insurance or who have limited insurance. These include the “SelectPlan” program for women ages 18 – 44 that offers free birth control, pap tests, STD testing and treatment and routine women’s health care for those who qualify. Students may be eligible for free services through this program or others.
Enrollment is available on site at WCC at the time of a visit. Students who may not qualify for free programs are eligible for special sliding fee services that include significantly reduced rates for contraceptive and treatment supplies. Services include:
- General OB and Gynecology: full service
- Family Planning
- Flexible appointment types including: Initial Non-Medical for contraceptive access (rapid start), Supply visit, Treatment and Partner Treatment visits.
- Walk-in Visits: Pregnancy Testing, ECP, and Rapid Oral HIV I/II testing.
- Options Counseling
- Contraceptive services and supplies: all method.
- STD testing and on site treatment (after diagnosis or exposure)
- ECP (prophylactic and walk-in and emergency)
- Flexible fees and free program options for those who qualify.

for testing.
