Registration and Housing Fees

Please note: There are no overnight accomodations for Transfer Orientation.

Freshman Program

Student Fee Structure
No charge for students to participate in the program or to stay in the residence halls for one night. There is a $30 housing fee per night for early arrival or late departure (includes linen pack).
Family Fee Structure
$75 for the first family member and $55 for additional family members if they are not staying in the residence halls (fee includes parking, meals, building and equipment rental, staffing, shuttle transportation, and program materials). $100 for the first family member and $85 for additional family members if staying in the residence halls (includes $30 housing fee which covers bed linens, parking, meals, building and equipment rental, staffing, shuttle transportation and program materials). There is a $30 housing fee per person per night for additional nights/early arrival or late departure (includes linen pack).

Housing and Hotel Information

Freshman Session
Students and families will be housed in separate residence halls; therefore we recommend students and family members pack personal items in separate bags.

Transfer Session
Although the transfer session is a one-day program, overnight accommodations will be made available if you complete the appropriate section on the registration form.

Family Members
For those family members who prefer to stay in a hotel during Orientation, a limited number of rooms have been reserved at the Sheraton University City Hotel. Please speak with reservation agents and mention the group code "Drexel Orientation" to secure a special discounted rate. These rates expire one month prior to your arrival date.

Early Arrivals

If You Arrive Early
Early Arrivals arriving the night before their scheduled check-in are to report to the Caneris Residence Hall front desk for families, and Towers Residence Hall for students. There, you will receive instructions about where to park for the evening and suggested places to eat. On Day One of your orientation, registration and check-in will occur in the Caneris Residence Hall. For exact location, click here.


When You Arrive

FREE parking is available in the Drexel Parking Garage to all students and families attending new student orientation. The Drexel Garage is located at 34th & Ludlow Streets. Drexel Shuttles will provide transportation from the garage to Race Street Residences for orientation registration and check-in.

Freshman Program
Registration and check-in for freshman students and their families will take place in Caneris Residence Hall beginning at 8am. If you will be staying in a residence hall, please arrive no later than 8:30am to allow sufficient time for check-in. You will be directed to your residence hall after you check-in. If you are not staying in a residence hall you will be directed to the Creese Student Center. Students will take their luggage to their residence hall and go to Creese Student Center for breakfast.

Transfer Program
Orientation check-in and registration for the transfer student session will take place in the Creese Student Center, located at 32nd and Chestnut Streets. Buses will be available at the garage to transport you to the Creese Student Center, or, if you choose, it is just a short walk from the garage to the student center.
