The Office of Multicultural Programs and Special Projects (OMPSP) works with students, faculty, staff and administration in creating an environment that promotes greater understanding, respect and appreciation among the diverse student populations at Drexel University. OMPSP plans and implements a variety of multicultural, social and educational programs for the University community.

  • OMPSP acts as a resource and advocate for diverse student populations regarding their academic, social, and personal inquiries, issues, concerns and/or suggestions
  • Plans and implements social and educational programs around specific diversity and multicultural celebrations (e.g., African American and Latino History Months, Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, World AIDS Day, Women's History Month, and Gay and Lesbian Pride Days)
  • Promote and advise student-initiated organizations
  • Provide external information of interest to diverse student populations (e.g. scholarships and internships)
  • To work and act as a resource for conflict resolution that may arise between diverse populations
  • OMPSP also works closely with the Dean of Students on a variety of projects to enhance the quality of student life for our students
