Laura M. Dell’Olio joined the staff at Drexel University in November 2005 as Staff Counselor, Health Education Coordinator and Violence Against Women Support Specialist. Laura brings ten years of social work experience and is a licensed clinical social worker in the state of Pennsylvania. Her experience includes serving as a social worker at Women Organized Against Rape, Sarah’s House for Battered Women and Children, Boy’s and Girls Club of Wilmington, New Behavioral Network, Pennsylvania Mentor Therapeutic Services, and Roberts Wesleyan College Counseling Center. Laura also served as a volunteer service worker in Nairobi, Kenya where she was assigned to assisting refugees and teaching health education.
In addition to providing direct counseling services to students and supervision to Counseling Center trainees at Drexel University, Laura has a special interest in providing crisis intervention, counseling and support services to students who have experienced sexual assault, stalking, dating and/or intimate partner violence.
Laura enjoys working closely with Drexel University students in a variety of capacities and currently advises three student organizations.
