Amy Henning is a PA licensed psychologist with over 20 years of experience in counseling and psychotherapy. She joined Drexel's Counseling Center when it returned to campus in 1996. Before coming to Drexel Amy served as the Director of Counseling for the Art Institute of Philadelphia where she provided counseling services to college students, and consultations with staff and faculty.
Amy directs the Drexel Peer Counseling Helpline and also oversees the practicum training program and directly supervises a number of these practicum students each year.
Although Amy has worked with a variety of populations, college students are her favorite. Amy has a special interest in working with students with eating disorders and body image concerns. Amy earned her Masters of Education in Counseling Psychology from Temple University, and her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Rutgers University.
