Application Procedure


Applicants must be enrolled in a doctoral program in clinical or counseling psychology. Preference will be given to applicants from APA-approved programs. Applicants must have graduated from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree. Applicants should have completed all required coursework, passed doctoral level comprehensive examinations and have completed a minimum of 500 hours of practicum experience prior to applying.

Application Procedure

The application process will occur online through the APPIC APPLICATION FOR PSYCHOLOGY INTERNSHIP (AAPI) form available through the APPIC website,

The electronic application should include the following supportive materials:

  1. The completed AAPI online application form
  2. Brief cover letter
  3. Official transcripts of all graduate work
  4. Three letters of recommendation by professionals who are familiar with your clinical work, current or former supervisors preferred
  5. Updated Curriculum Vitae
  6. Academic Program's Verification of Internship Eligibility and Readiness

The deadline for sending the application (AAPI) and all supportive materials is November 15, 2013. Applicants will be notified if they are selected for an in-person interview (which is required) by e-mail on or before December 15, 2013. Selected applicants will be interviewed in mid-December and early January.
