Fall Orientation

September 16-17, 2014

  • Fall Orientation is a 2-day, on-campus event for international students and domestic transfer students.
  • Domestic freshman students are required to attend Summer Orientation. See the Domestic Student Exemption from Summer Orientation link below for more information about attending Fall Orientation.
  • All colleges, schools, and programs are represented at this session.

Domestic Student Exemption from Summer Orientation

Exemption Request Form

All domestic freshman students are required to attend Summer Orientation. However, a small number of spots have been reserved during Fall Orientation for domestic freshman students to attend. Students may apply for an exemption from Summer Orientation to attend Fall Orientation (September 16-17). Exemptions are rare and only approved for students with extreme financial constraints.

Students who are granted an exemption will be automatically registered for Fall Orientation and notified via email. Please allow at least 5 business days for exemption requests to be processed.

Dragon Summer Program

Upon successful completion of the Dragon Summer Program, participants will be automatically registered for Fall Orientation (September 16-17). Dragon Summer students do not need to pre-register or apply for an exemption.

Pre-registration for Fall Orientation will close on Tuesday, Sept. 9. Sessions fill up quickly, so pre-register as soon as possible.

Residence Hall Move-In

Students with fall housing assignments may move-in to their residence hall on Monday, Sept. 15.

The Parent & Family Program at Orientation

Parents and families are encouraged to attend Orientation with your student.

Hotel Discounts

On-campus lodging is not available during Fall Orientation. We are able to offer off-campus hotel discounts during Fall Orientation.

Student-Veteran Information Session

Lunch is provided

Student veterans and their families are invited to join the Office of Veteran Student Services and the Drexel Veteran's Association for an opportunity to network with other student veterans and learn about the resources available to student veterans on campus.

T-Shirt Design Competition

Incoming students can submit an original t-shirt design to be printed on the New Student T-Shirt which all new students receive when they arrive on campus for New Student Days.
