Social Justice Week 2014: Food is Medicine

Monday, April 28, 2014

12:30 PM-1:30 PM

Join MANNA (Metropolitan Area Neighborhood Nutrition Alliance), a Philadelphia non-profit organization, to explore the value of nutrition to good health. MANNA provides its patrons with medically appropriate meals, medical nutrition therapy and nutrition education free of charge to help achieve optimal health. In this workshop participants will learn more about the value of these programs and their effects on lowering health care costs.

This program is a part of Social Justice Week 2014, a week full of educational presentations that will help our community advance in the pursuit of social justice, sponsored by the Student Center for Inclusion and Culture, Fraternity and Sorority Life, Hillel, Lindy Center for Civic Engagement and Residential Living Office.

Participants will receive a ticket at each workshop attended that will enter them for a chance to win FREE Drexel swag or a Kindle as a reward for their commitment to learning about social justice issues and continuing their education. Tickets will not be available at table events.

**This program is CEO LEAD-certified**
