Academic Excellence: The demonstrated ability to perform, achieve, and  excel in scholastic activities, to develop maximum intellectual capacities and skills, and to maintain an environment in which learning is fostered both inside and out of the classroom

One of the four major values of sororities & fraternities is academic excellence. It is each chapter’s goal to encourage and assist members in attaining their academic potential.

Each fraternity and sorority provides academic support programs including national and local scholarships and grants, incentives and awards, study skills workshops, tutoring programs, and established study sessions and enforces grade point requirements. In an effort to assist with this goal, the Office of Fraternity & Sorority Life provides chapters with information about chapter members' academic standing as well as a quarterly Fraternity and Sorority Grade Reports.
