Welcome to Kelly Hall!

My name is Gabby Mora, and as a new member of Kelly Hall, I’m glad to invite you into our community!  We’re a hall of some-400 first-year students who come from as close as Philadelphia and as far away as the Philippines.  We represent every major at the University, as well as a strong diversity of races, ethnicities, and abilities.  We’re an assortment of people with various beliefs and backgrounds, but we’re united by the roof under which we live, and the pride we take in being Kellys and Drexel Dragons.

Kelly Hall is one of the older residence halls on-campus.  Named after Ralph Kelly, a World War I veteran and University benefactor, the hall has an equally storied history of producing some of Drexel’s greatest student leaders.  Due to the great opportunities residents have encountered living in this hall, Kelly residents have captained varsity sports teams, presided over the Undergraduate Student Government Association (USGA), led amazing community service efforts, and held outstanding co-ops at national and internationally known sites.  You’re about to become part of this 50-year tradition of excellence.

Though Kelly Hall was constructed in the 1960s, it underwent a major renovation five years ago resulting in a serious facelift.  Today, the hall’s exterior still captures its old charm, while its interior is clean and modern with updated furniture; study lounges, kitchens, and expansive views of the city on each floor; plus the Northside Dining Terrace, which houses Subway, Chick-Fil-A, Currito Burritos Without Borders, Southern Tsunami Sushi, and Northside Market (our campus convenience store).  Divided into 12 floors, our basement serves as a recreation area with a piano, pool table, ping-pong table, large-screen TV, and laundry room; our ground floor contains our mail room, study lounge, and main lobby; and our 10 residential floors – divided by sex, with six male floors and four female floors – contain double-occupancy rooms with two wardrobes, desks, chairs, and beds (which can be bunked).

If you are interested in serving as one of the leaders in our hall and work as a Desk Assistant, please email Rita Devlin or stop by the front desk to talk with her about opportunities to become a Desk Assistant.

The Kelly Hall Council is an amazing opportunity to get involved! Through the Hall Council, you will get to plan programs and events for your fellow residents as well as serving as an advocate for the needs of the hall. The Hall Council will also provide you with many opportunities to develop leadership skills through workshops and other training events. Please feel free to contact your Resident Director, Gabby Mora, or the Hall Council Advisor, Amanda Ratoff, with any questions.
