Caneris, University Crossings, Axis
Welcome to Caneris Hall, University Crossings and The Axis!
Hello Caneris and UCross Residents!
My name is Shardé Johnson and I am the Resident Director for Anthony Caneris Hall, University Crossings and The Axis. I work with a unique set of students and staff on the Drexel campus, as I work with the Upper Class Experience. This is a program, my student staff and I developed last year and have been implementing throughout this year.
Caneris/UC/Axis is the only community that links 3 separate areas, which include traditional suite-style halls, and our privately leased apartment communities. We house the only apartment-style living on campus, and work with many on and off-campus partners to run our areas.
Caneris Café has become a great tradition during midterms and finals, in which we provide coffee/hot chocolate and other snacks for students who are studying. We also put on Dinner and a Movie at least once a year, Thanksgiving Dinner, and a great barbeque in the Spring!
Anthony Caneris was a past Vice President at Drexel University. It was previously East Hall.
Residents love the convenience of being just a few minutes from classes, 30th St. Station, and the Campus Starbucks. Caneris is a newer building and and UC was recently renovated. The Axis also offers a unique apartment and residence hall combination style of living.
We will be starting a new program in Caneris/UC and the Axis called C.O.R.E that will be an updated version of FSBS. This is a great way to get involved!
