Apply be a part of the exciting 2014 Alternative Spring Break program!
The Alternative Spring Break (ASB) program places teams of Drexel students in communities to engage in community service and experiential learning during spring break. The objectives of the ASB program are to involve students in community-based service projects – locally, domestically, and internationally – and to provide opportunities for engagement in activities that benefit the environment, the community, and those in need.
The 2014 Alternative Spring Break (ASB) program will run held March 22-30, 2014. Students interested in applying to the program will complete the application found on the Office of Campus Activities DragonLink page, under “forms”. The application extended deadline is Monday, December 9, 2013 at 8am. ASB trips require a financial commitment from participants and if selected, a $50 non-refundable deposit will be due to secure your spot. The remainder of the participant fee will be due prior to departure, on a trip-by-trip basis. Trip participants are expected to conduct fundraising to off-set costs if necessary. Trip notifications and offers will be made December 2013.
ASB Application Instructions:
- Log-in to DrexelOne and click the “drexel” tab. Next, click the DragonLink hyperlink located on the bottom left of the page under the Campus Involvement menu header. You will then be logged-in to DragonLink. From there, you have three options:
- Locate the ASB 2014 Application under the Alerts located at the top of the homepage.
- Click on the "ASB 2014 Application" flier which will be posted on the virtual event bulletin board on the main page. The link to the form will be available within the flier instructions - you must be logged-in for the link to work.
- When logged-in to DragonLink, search for the Office of Campus Activities page. Once on the page, click “Forms” on the left-side. Then click the link to the “2014 ASB Participant Application”.
Applications must be submitted by the deadline – there are no exceptions. Fees associated with a trip are determined based on transportation expenses, lodging, and registration, along with meals. It is the best deal you can get for a week of travel and helping others in communities locally, domestically, and internationally.
