New Law Student
Checklist
This handy checklist will help you successfully
navigate the enrollment process.
- If you are applying for financial aid, submit
the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). (U.S. citizens and permanent residents only). Remember, even if you have applied for aid in the past, you need to ensure that you file the FAFSA for each year that you plan to enroll in school. The FAFSA must list Drexel’s school code (003256). For further information, please review our guide to the financial aid process.
- Check for
any outstanding financial aid requirements (U.S.
citizens and permanent residents only). Students who have
confirmed their attendance can check their status on DrexelOne.
New student loans will not be disbursed from the lender
to Drexel until the promissory note has been signed.
To make sure you have fulfilled all requirements, please go to Drexel's guide
to the financial aid process
and review Steps 1–7.
- Notify the Financial Aid Office
of any changes in your enrollment status. A change in
enrollment status (from full- to part-time, for example)
could affect your financial aid award. Email us at finaid@drexel.edu if you have changed your enrollment status.
Unsure how to finance your Drexel education? We are
happy to help you construct a financial plan; you may
reach us at 215-895-2537. We urge you to contact us
as soon as possible because
transactions require several days to process.
- Comply with Drexel's
Immunization and Health Insurance policies. All
international and full-time law students must be in
compliance with these policies. You must provide proof of coverage
under a health insurance plan. For details,
go to Health
Insurance and Immunizations.
- Pick up your DrexelOne IRT computer
accounts. Once you confirm your enrollment at Drexel,
you are entitled to several computer accounts,
such as email and the DrexelOne portal. To
pick up your accounts, go to the Information
Resources Technology (IRT) website.
- Pick
up your University ID. Once you have
registered for your classes, you are eligible
for the DragonCard, which you will need to access
certain buildings on campus, including the library. Time will be allotted during Orientation for you to pick up your card. For more information about the DragonCard, please go to the DragonCard
website.
- Submit final transcripts prior to enrollment. If you are unable to provide final transcripts by the first day of classes, please notify College of Law Admissions immediately. Failure to submit final transcripts may result in a hold being placed on your account.
- Review your eBill on your DrexelOne account. This should be done approximately two weeks before the beginning of the term. You can view this information on DrexelOne. If you have questions regarding your bill once you arrive on campus, please visit the Office of Student Accounts/Bursar, located on the first floor of the Main Building. You can find more information on the Office of Student Accounts/Bursar website.
- Purchase a laptop. Drexel requires all law students to have a laptop that meets Drexel's minimum specifications. Visit the Information Resources and Technology's (IRT) website for information.
