New Health Sciences Student
Checklist
This checklist will help you successfully
navigate the enrollment process.
- If you are applying for financial aid, submit
the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). (U.S.
citizens and permanent residents only.) Remember, even
if you have applied for aid in the past, you need to
ensure that you file the FAFSA for each year that you
plan to enroll in school. The FAFSA must list Drexel’s
school code (003256). To fill out the FAFSA, visit www.fafsa.ed.gov.
For further information, please review our guide
to the financial aid process.
- Complete the Institutional Financial Aid Application. (U.S.
citizens and permanent residents only.) You can download
this form or find a copy in your welcome packet. The
supplementary information provided on this form will
enable the Student Resource Center/Financial Aid Office
(SRC/FA) to correctly process your financial aid application.
- Notify the SRC/FA of any changes in your enrollment
status. A change in enrollment status (from
full- to part-time, for example) could affect your
financial aid award. Visit AskDrexel to
report changes to your enrollment status.
If you are unsure how to finance your Drexel education, the SRC/FA will help
you construct a financial plan. Call 215-895-2537 as soon as possible because
transactions require several days to process.
- Register for orientation. New students are invited to join us for New Student Orientation. For dates and to register, please call 215-762-1400 or email us at studentlife.cchc@drexel.edu.
- Contact an advisor in your program department. If you are unsure how to
contact your advisor, review the complete
list of contact numbers.
- Pick up your DrexelOne IRT computer
accounts. Once you confirm your enrollment at Drexel,
you are entitled to several computer accounts,
such as email and the DrexelOne
portal. To
pick up your accounts, go to the Information
Resources Technology (IRT) website.
- Review your eBill on your DrexelOne account. This
should be done approximately two weeks before the beginning
of the term. You can view this information on DrexelOne.
If you have questions regarding your bill once you arrive
on campus, please visit the Office of Student Accounts/Bursar,
located on the first floor of the Main Building. You
can find more information on the Office
of Student Accounts/Bursar website.
- Comply with Drexel’s
Immunization and Health Insurance policies. All
full-time
students must be in compliance with these policies.
For details, go to Health
Insurance and Immunizations.
- Pick
up your University ID. Once you have
registered for your classes, you are eligible
for the DragonCard, which you will need to access
certain buildings on campus, including the library. Visit
the DragonCard
website for office locations
and further information.
