New Graduate Student Checklist
This handy checklist will help you successfully navigate
the enrollment process.
Note: International students should visit the International
Students and Scholars Services website for additional
information.
Financial Aid/Billing
- If you are applying for financial aid, submit
the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) (U.S.
citizens and permanent residents only). Remember, even
if you have applied for aid in the past, you need to
ensure that you file the FAFSA for each year that you
plan to enroll in school. The FAFSA must list Drexel’s
school code (003256). To fill out the FAFSA, visit www.fafsa.ed.gov.
For further information, please review our guide
to the financial aid process.
|
|
- Complete the Institutional Financial Aid Application (U.S.
citizens and permanent residents only). The supplementary information
provided on this form will enable the Student Resource Center/Financial
Aid Office (SRC/FA) to correctly process your financial aid application.
Download the Institutional
Financial Aid Application (PDF).
Complete
any outstanding financial aid requirements (U.S.
citizens and permanent residents only). Students who
have confirmed their attendance can check their status
on DrexelOne.
New student loans will not be disbursed from the lender
to Drexel until the promissory note has been signed.
- Notify the SRC/FA
of any changes in your enrollment status. A change in
enrollment status (from full- to part-time, for example)
could affect your financial aid award. Visit AskDrexel to report changes to your enrollment status.
- Review your eBill on your DrexelOne account. This
should be done approximately two weeks before the beginning
of the term. You can view this information on DrexelOne.
If you have questions regarding your bill once you arrive
on campus, please visit the Office of Student Accounts/Bursar,
located on the first floor of the Main Building. You
can find more information on the Office
of Student Accounts/Bursar website.
Student Services
- Contact
an advisor in your program's department. All
students must communicate
with their academic advisor prior to registering
for their first term. Note that some graduate programs
offer workshops prior to student registration. Locate
your advisor in the Graduate
Advisors list.
- Pick up your computer accounts. As
a Drexel student, you are entitled to computer accounts,
such as email and the DrexelOne portal.
Visit the Information Resources and Technology (IRT) New
Accounts page to learn more. To pick up your accounts,
go to http://accounts.drexel.edu/.
- Submit final transcripts prior to enrollment. If
you are unable to provide final transcripts by the first
day of classes, please notify the Office of Graduate
Admissions at 215-895-6700 immediately. Failure to submit
final transcripts may result in a hold being placed on
your account.
- Comply with Drexel's
Immunization and Health Insurance policies. All
international and full-time graduate students must be
in compliance with these policies. For details, visit
the Health
Insurance and Immunizations website.
- Pick up your DragonCard University ID. Once
you have registered for your classes, you are eligible
for the DragonCard, which you will need to access certain
buildings on campus. Visit the DragonCard
Office located in Room 124 of the Creese Student
Center on the University City Main Campus or in Room
1608 of the New College Building on the Center City Hahnemann
Campus to have your ID photo taken. You must show a valid
state-issued ID (driver's license or passport).
Notify Disability Services if you have any physical
or learning disabilities. Drexel University
is committed to providing equal access to its programs
and services to qualified students. Visit the Office
of Disability Services website for more information.
- Attend the Drexel Resource Fair. Get
answers to questions regarding billing, financial aid,
registration, health insurance, and immunizations during
the Resource Fair offered at the start of each quarter.
Orientation
- Register for Orientation.
(College of Nursing and Health Professions and School
of Public Health students only). For dates and to register,
