Story Touring: Looking at History, Documenting Experience
A series of five workshops in which student veterans will document their experience and respond to historic documents, letters and journals from the Rosenbach Museum & Library
We will creatively address such questions as:
How do you want your experience to be documented and remembered?
How is your military experience similar or different from the veterans of the past?
How can we make a museum exhibition about the myriad of contemporary and historical veteran experiences relevant and honest?
These workshops will be led by teaching artist and history enthusiast Alex Torra. The content generated during the workshop will be part of an exhibition and public programs at the Rosenbach Museum & Library starting in November 2012.
• Workshop Intro: Saturday, April 14, 2–4:30 p.m., Rosenbach Museum & Library
• Workshop 2: Monday, April 30, 5–7:30 p.m., Drexel Veterans Lounge
• Workshop 3: Monday, May 14, 5–7:30 p.m., Drexel Veterans Lounge
• Workshop 4: Monday, May 20, 5–7:30 p.m., Drexel Veterans Lounge
• Final Workshop: Saturday, June 2, 1–4 p.m., Rosenbach Museum & Library

DU Remembers...Will You?
The Veterans Task Force invites you to show support for our United States service men and women who are students, faculty, and professional staff by wearing a "DU Remembers …Will You?" wristband or wearing red, white and/or blue on Fridays. Wearing the wristband can spark conversation and contribute to a culture of respect and support for our soldiers on campus and in our lives. Take time to inquire more about friends, family and campus members who have served — ask the questions and discover their stories.
