B.S. in Education Degree Completion and Teacher Certification Program
Overview
Drexel University's School of Education’s Saturday Scholar's undergraduate program is designed for individuals who possess some college level credits and are interested in transferring into Drexel to fulfill requirements to earn a B.S. degree in Education as well as requirements to be recommended for a Pre-Kindergarten - Grade 4 teaching certificate. The Saturday Scholar's BS in Education program will provide you with the training you need to teach at the pre-school and early elementary level in order to make a difference in tomorrow's world.
Course work in the School of Education Saturday Scholar's program is offered in a blended course delivery method (face-to-face, online and with multiple classroom-based field experiences). The face-to-face component of the classes meet on Saturday mornings and afternoons. In addition to the 12-week student teaching experience required for certification, Drexel education students will participate in numerous, diverse field experiences in Philadelphia classrooms to prepare them for a career in teaching.
