Continuing Education

Drexel University's School of Education is ranked among “America's Best GraduateSchools 2010” by U.S.News & World Report and is pleased to be able to provide multiple opportunities for personal and professional growth through its Continuing Education programming.  Programming includes non-credit and undergraduate and graduate level credited course work and workshops offered in a variety of delivery methods.  Delivery methods currently include online, face-to-face and blended (a mix of online and face-to-face).  The latest technology to optimize learning is embedded in Drexel programs to ensure that every student has the most optimal learning experience possible.

In addition to programs leading to administrative and initial teacher certification, current and earmarked Continuing Education programming includes preparation of current teachers for add-on certification in new areas and Certificate Programs and workshops for professional growth in areas such as Human Resource Development, Higher Education, Math Education, Teaching English as a Second Language and as a Foreign Language, Coaching Sports, Instructional Design and Corporate Training, and using Technology in more effectively in the education process for both school and businesses.  Specific programs currently available include:

  • Initial and Add-on Teacher Certification Programs (Biology, Chemistry, Earth & Space Science, Elementary Education K-6, Environmental Education K-12, General Science, Mathematics, Physics)
  • School Principal K-12 Certification Program (initial certification in Pennsylvania)
