Student Engagement: Providing An Enriched Collegiate Experience
Drexel University strives to provide an enriched collegiate experience for its students through co-curricular activities outside of the classroom. By providing meaningful opportunities to learn and develop leadership, interpersonal, programming, and organizational skills, students are able to connect and contribute to the University community.
More than 260 student clubs, societies, and organizations exist at Drexel for students to join. If there isn’t a particular club available, students are encouraged to create a new organization. Healthy competition and exercise also provides students with an opportunity to get engaged; over 6,500 students participate in organized sports – intramural, club and varsity athletics.
Because Drexel understands how important the residential living experience is to academic success, the University created "Housing by Design", a unique residential program which provides Drexel students with the opportunity to live in a community united by a common interest, such as cooking, gaming or sports.
Students are encouraged to get involved on campus and make the most of their Drexel Experience. The Student Life and Administrative Services team promised to work hard to exceed student expectations and break new ground in delivering campus services and the best possible quality of life for the entire University community.
