Rules and Regulations for Program Initiation, Review, Change, and Termination (cont'd)

(adopted by Board of Trustees of Drexel University, 7 May 1991)

XII. The Academic Affairs Committee of the Board of Trustees

A. Ordinarily the foregoing procedures will not involve the Board of Trustees or its Academic Affairs Committee, but the Committee should be apprised when any proposal reaches the formal review stage.

B. If a proposed program requires new resources, reallocation of available resources, changes in degree requirements, a new academic degree, or termination, the proposal, with all its documentation, will be submitted to the Academic Affairs Committee of the University's Board of Trustees for its review. At its next regular meeting, the Board of Trustees will receive and act upon the Academic Affairs Committee's recommendation on the proposal, providing due notice of its action to all affected parties.

C. Within a period of not more than two years following the effective date of these procedures, they will be reviewed by the SCAA and the Board's Academic Affairs Committee and revised as needed.
