Panel Discussions
For 2011, the Philadelphia Law School Fair will continue its tradition of hosting two panel discussions. Veteran admission and financial aid officers will present an insiders' view of these important topics. "The Admissions Process" will be held from 4:00 – 5:00 PM. "Financing Your Legal Education" will follow at 5:00 PM. There will be ample opportunity for questions from the audience.
Both panels will be held in 111 Nesbitt Hall. Students should gather at the entrance to the Fair approximately 10 minutes before the panel(s) they wish to attend. Fair staff will escort students to the panel location.

Therese Lambert, University of Miami School of Law
Therese Lambert has been employed at the University of Miami School of Law since 1983. Initially she was Director of the Career Planning Center, assisting students and alumni in finding summer and permanent jobs locally and nationally. This position also included the recruitment of prospective students, a job that matured into a full-time position. She has been Director of Student Recruitment since 1985, an office that works in conjunction with the Office of Admissions. Ms. Lambert has been on countless panels, including presentations at NALP, PLANC and the LSAC National Conference. Ms. Lambert earned her B.A. degree from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio and a M.S. degree in Higher Education Administration from the University of Miami.
Prior to moving to Miami in 1983, Ms. Lambert worked at Cleveland-Marshall College of Law (Assistant Director of Placement, July 1982-June 1983; Administrative Assistant for External Affairs, April 1979-May 1982) and was a press assistant for Senator Jacob Javits (R-NY) in Washington, D.C. (June 1977 – January 1979).
G. Todd Morton, Vanderbilt University Law School
G. Todd Morton is Assistant Dean and Dean of Admissions at Vanderbilt University Law School, overseeing admissions, recruitment, and financial aid. He received an A.B. from Dartmouth College in 1978 and Ed.M. and Ed.D. degrees from Harvard Graduate School of Education in 1982 and 2000 respectively.
Prior to arriving at Vanderbilt, Dean Morton served as Director of Admissions at Harvard Law School from 1989 to 2005. From 1985 to 1989, he served at New York University School of Law in the positions of Associate Director of Admissions and Director of Recruitment and Admissions Services. He began his career in admissions in 1983 at Dartmouth College as Assistant Director of Admissions.
Dean Morton has served on several Law School Admission Council committees, including the Test Development and Research Committee and its Grants Subcommittee, the Global Issues Work Group, and the Computerized Testing Work Group.
Anne M. Richard, University of Virginia School of Law
Anne Richard joined the Law School in 2011. Immediately prior to joining the UVA Law administration, she was associate dean for admissions and financial aid at The George Washington University Law School. From 1997 until 2006, she served as associate dean for admissions at the George Mason University School of Law. Dean Richard practiced law from 1984 until 1997, working as a trial attorney in the Civil Division of the U.S. Department of Justice, as well as a partner and associate in private practice in Northern Virginia. She received her law degree from Yale Law School and both her bachelor's and master's degrees from Boston College.
R. Jay Shively, Wake Forest University School of Law
Jay Shively is the Assistant Dean for Admissions and Financial Aid at Wake Forest University School of Law. Dean Shively received his law degree at the University of Houston Law Center and completed his undergraduate education at The Florida State University. Previously Dean Shively served as the Dean for Admissions at the University of North Carolina and Penn State University Schools of Law. While living in Philadelphia from 2004-2009, Dean Shively worked with the Law School Admission Council (LSAC) as the Director of Law School Services. In this role, he served on the team developing technologies currently in use by all LSAC member law schools. Dean Shively has presented and spoken at a number of national conferences and enjoys most of all working with prospective law students.

Stephen G. Brown, Fordham University School of Law
Stephen G. Brown is the Assistant Dean of Enrollment at Fordham Law School, overseeing Admissions and Financial Aid. He is really a financial aid person at heart and delights in introducing complex topics in an easily understandable way.
Stephen is a frequent presenter at admissions, financial aid and student services conferences, including NAGAP, the PDI, the ABA, AACRAO, NNLSO, NASFAA, AALS, and LSAC. His audiences include the public, deans, pre-professional advisors and colleagues. His specialties include financial planning, loan repayment and the basics. Stephen received his B.S. and M.S.Ed. from Fordham University, and an Ed.M from Teachers' College, Columbia University.
Gisele A. Joachim, Seton Hall University School of Law
Gisele has more than 20 years of experience in higher education administration. Currently, the Dean of Enrollment Management, she is responsible for the Seton Hall Law School admissions and financial aid areas. These responsibilities include recruitment, applicant file evaluation, oversight of the financial aid area and other enrollment management functions necessary to enroll an increasingly competitive and highly qualified first year law school class.
Prior to joining Seton Hall, Gisele served as the Director of Financial Aid Services with New Jersey's Higher Education Student Assistance Authority (HESAA). In this capacity she provided management, planning and technical assistance in the areas of student aid and enrollment management to institutions served by HESAA. She also held the position of University Director of Financial Aid with Fairleigh Dickinson University (FDU).
A graduate of the State University of New York, Oneonta, N.Y., with a bachelor's degree in psychology, she pursued graduate studies at Marist College, Poughkeepsie, N.Y. Gisele is a member of the New Jersey, Eastern and National Associations of Student Financial Aid Administrator.
