Professional Development and Career Management
COOP 101 is a joint venture between the Steinbright Career Development Center and the Pennoni Honors College for students about to begin the Cooperative Education experience. Taught by experienced, practicing professionals, this course teaches critical skills and approaches for achieving success in finding and mastering your Co-op.
The goal of this course is to prepare you for your Cooperative Education experiences and to develop career planning/job search skills and techniques that will remain relevant throughout your career.
With COOP 101, students will learn the fundamentals of resume development, the interview process and special job search techniques, workplace issues, and much more.
Certificates of Merit
Certificates of Merit will be awarded to those students who exhibit commendable effort in the COOP 101 class. They demonstrate to potential employers that the student excels in the skills necessary to become a valuable employee.
