NSF Sustainability Research Networks
The Office of Research is soliciting internal letters of intent from teams of investigators wishing to submit proposals to the National Science Foundation, Sustainability Research Networks Competition (SRN). The goal of the Sustainability Research Networks (SRN) competition is to bring together multidisciplinary teams of researchers, educators, managers, policymakers and other stakeholders to conduct collaborative research that addresses fundamental challenges in sustainability.
The 2014 focus is Urban Sustainability and Drexel may submit to NSF only three proposals for this solicitation. There is no limit to participation as a partner institution.
A full description of the 2014 NSF SRN program may be found at: http://www.nsf.gov/pubs/2014/nsf14534/nsf14534.htm
Faculty member teams interested in submitting an SRN proposal to NSF must first submit an internal mandatory letter of intent. Letters of intent should be no more than one page and identify the project scope, principal investigators, collaborators, and partner organizations.
Letters of intent must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. Friday, February 28, 2014 as a word or pdf document to firstname.lastname@example.org, with NSF SRN and the last name of the lead PI(s) in the subject line. If the Office of Research receives more than three letters of intent, we will run an internal competition for pre-proposals. Anyone who does not submit a letter of intent will not be permitted to participate in the pre-proposal competition nor be able to submit a full proposal by the April 29, 2014 due date.
