W.W. Smith Charitable Trust Cancer and AIDS Research Program
We are soliciting internal applicants for the W.W. Smith Charitable Trust cancer and AIDS research program. As an institution we may submit only two applications total for this competition – one cancer project and one AIDS project for a total of two.
The philosophy of the Trust has been not to replicate governmental funding organizations, but identify and fund projects that are unique and meritorious. The Trust tries to select promising researchers who have the potential to attract the National Institutes of Health or other large funding organizations after the Trust’s support. The Trust is looking to fund those projects that will hopefully have an immediate and direct influence upon the fight against cancer disease and AIDS.
Internal applications due no later than 11:59 pm, May 9, 2014. Full applications due to the Foundation by 4:30 PM June 13, 2014.
