Effort Reporting

Effort reporting is the method of certifying to federal and non-federal sponsoring agencies that the effort required as a condition of the award has actually been completed and verified. OMB Circular A-21 requires certification of effort spent by all employees whose salaries are charged (in full or in part) directly to federal and federal flow-through funds, as well as for reporting committed cost share.

This workshop will explain the concepts of effort reports and include the processes by which effort is actually charged to awards and the processes by which effort is verified/certified in the effort reporting system.
