    The Drexel University Biosafety Committee provides guidance to all faculty, staff and students who wish to conduct research and teaching activities involving biological hazards such as recombinant DNA (as defined by the National Institutes of Health guidelines), pathogenic organisms, human/primate samples, chemical carcinogens and cytotoxic agents.


    The Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) upholds Drexel University's commitment to the highest standards of ethical and humane care of animals in experimental research.

    The Radiation Safety Office at Drexel University is responsible for managing the beneficial uses of radiation and radioactive material while protecting our students, patients, visitors, faculty and professional staff from potential hazards as well as assuring compliance with applicable federal and state laws and regulations.
