Robert Buckley
(BS, Civil Engineering, 1958)
Mr. Buckley is Chairman and President of Buckley & Company, Inc., a family-owned heavy construction firm founded in 1928. He has served on the Drexel Board of Trustees since 1991. He is a recipient of the A.J. Drexel Paul Award, the College of Engineering Alumni Achievement Award, and he is a member of the Drexel Athletic Hall of Fame, the Drexel 100, and the College of Engineering Alumni Circle of Distinction. As a Drexel student, Mr. Buckley was a top athlete of his era and played on three sports teams: baseball, basketball, and football. Buckley Field, Buckley Green, and Buckley Courts at the Armory are popular campus sites that bear his name.

Buckley Courts at the Armory feature three multi-purpose courts with a plexipave surface that allows for recreational tennis, basketball, volleyball, badminton, indoor soccer, street hockey and table tennis. This facility serves as a practice site for club and varsity sports in the winter time.
