Chris

Hometown: Philadelphia, PA
Education: Currently enrolled in accelerated B.S./D.P.T. (Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences and Doctorate of Physical Therapy) program at Drexel University
Certifications: American Council of Exercise- Certified Personal Trainer (ACE-CPT)
Experience: I've practiced a variety of martial arts (Tang Soo Do, kickboxing, Jiu-Jitsu, Aikido, wrestling, and MMA) for the past seven years, and served as a Tang Soo Do instructor at the American Black Belt Academy in Philadelphia, as well as captain of the school's demonstration team. I adhere to a functional fitness training philosophy that allows clients to meet their individualized goals in a safe, effective, and (most importantly) enjoyable manner utilizing a dynamic mixture of both cardio and resistance training. I enjoy working with clients of all ages and backgrounds, especially those just entering into the field of fitness.
Interests: Reading, martial arts, gymnastics, weightlifting, and writing.

Experience: Previously, I worked at Shippensburg University training staff and faculty members. I have also taught water aerobics and supervised exercise rooms at a Cumberland County retirement community. My personal fitness approach uses the CrossFit methodology which utilizes functional multi-joint movements.
Interests: Soccer, Philly sports teams and going to Villanova basketball games

Experience: I have participated in sports my whole life to include the varsity level in high school. I currently work out Drexel and attend group exercise classes regularly. I also work at Bally Total Fitness as a personal trainer and am working towards a kickboxing certification to teach group exercise classes.
Interests: Love traveling, sports, swimming, reading and playing with my pets.

Experience: I have been actively engaged in the health and fitness field for the past 3 years. Prior to my position here at Drexel, I served as a Graduate Assistant for fitness as the University of Kentucky and as an intern for fitness and Wellness at both Xavier University and the University of Cincinnati. I have trained numerous clients with varying goals, taught TRX group fitness classes, organized and taught resistance training and circuit training programs, and led workshops and seminars. Before gaining experience in higher education, I served nine years in the Army Reserve where I developed and implemented several physical training programs for soldiers.
Interests: College sports, golf, volleyball, flag football, softball, weightlifting, camping and hiking.
