Les Mills BODYPUMP™

BODYPUMP is a non-impact weights-based exercise class that works every major muscle group in the body using weights, and a bar. It strengthens, conditions and tones muscles, producing amazing results – fast. The classes are incredibly motivating, with dynamic music and an instructor giving constant encouragement and feedback throughout each 45 to 60-minute workout.

Circuit Express
30 Minute Workout

Circuit Express is a challenging whole body quick 30 minute workout, ideal for busy professionals and students. With a mix of short bursts of cardio and weight training, Circuit Express will increase and improve muscular strength and endurance. Classes are offered every Wednesday at 12:30pm in Group Exercise Studio 216 and open to all Recreation Center members.

Group Exercise

Group Exercise classes at the Drexel Recreation Center offer participants the opportunity to work out under the guidance of educated instructors that emphasize fun, safety, and wellness. Class favorites include: abs, BodyPump™, Pilates, Spinning®, and yoga. Core classes are open to all Recreation Center members. Classes are free to Recreation Center members.** Before a participant's first class during a calendar year, a waiver of liability is required to be completed.

All classes are geared for the beginner and intermediate level of participation and instructors are skilled in adapting classes as necessary to meet the level of the participants. By participating in Group Exercises classes, members can:

  • Increase self-confidence and a feeling of physical well-being
  • Make positive lifestyle changes
  • Improve endurance, strength, balance, coordination, and flexibility
  • Develop time-management skills
  • Reduce stress, frustration, and anxiety
