Local Living Economies: Policy for Sustainable Business, with Judy Wicks
May 3, 2011 — Judy Wicks, founder of the Sustainable Business Network of Greater Philadelphia and the White Dog Café, and co-founder of the Business Alliance for Local Living Economies, will be speaking about policies for sustainable business at Drexel University. This event is open to both the Drexel community and the public.
Program attendees will:
- Learn what public policies are needed to foster and promote sustainable business practices.
- Learn how current public policies are affecting the business community.
- Gain a better understanding of the roles of both the government and the public in implementing this type of public policy, and apply this understanding to local sustainable systems within Philadelphia.
- Obtain the ability to analyze and develop new strategies for sustainable economies, increase current policy effectiveness, and implement new strategies for sustainable business practices, and environmental and economic sustainability.
This event will be held on May 20, 2011 from 5:00-7:00pm in 2019 MacAlister Hall, on Drexel University's Main Campus.
