Emeritus Professor Donald Bersoff Speaks at White House Conference on Mental Health

Professor Donald Bersoff was an invited speaker at the White House Conference on Mental Health on June 3.
Bersoff, an emeritus professor in both the Psychology Department and in the Earle Mack School of Law and current president of the American Psychological Association, spoke about services to military personnel, veterans, their families and victims of military sexual trauma to some participants in the conference.
President Obama and Vice President Biden gave remarks during the plenary session.
The event focused on strategies for reducing the stigma that prevents individuals from seeking treatment for mental health problems.
Elected to lead the American Psychological Association in 2011, Bersoff is a nationally recognized leader in mental health law. He was the founding director of the law school’s Law and Psychology program.
