Ludo C.P. Scheffer, PhD, is a Teaching Professor in Psychology and the current Director of the Undergraduate Studies program. Currently he also serves as Senator for the College of Arts & Sciences on the Faculty Senate and as the Chair of the Senate Committee on Academic Affairs. Furthermore he is the Chair of the Writing Taskforce and serves on the Faculty Athletic Advisory Committee. He also serves as Faculty Advisor to Psi Chi, the International Honor Society in Psychology, and to the Drexel University Men’s Rugby Club. As Advisor of Psi Chi he received the Outstanding Faculty Advisor Award for the Eastern Region.

Ludo holds a BS in Elementary and Middle School Education from the National Teachers College (The Netherlands), Doctorandus (PhD – abd) in the “Science of Education and Schooling” (Educational Psychology) from the Free (Reformed) University of Amsterdam, and a PhD in Education/Interdisciplinary Studies in Human Development from the University of Pennsylvania’s Graduate School of Education (Psychology in Education Division).

Ludo lives in Philadelphia (walking distance to the university) and serves on a variety of Boards of community organizations: President of the Board of Fairmount Soccer Association, Vice-President of the Board of the Dance Del Bello organization, Vice-President of the Indochinese American Council, and as Advisory Board Member of Guiding Youth to Careers, an initiative at Drexel University.
