Who do we help?

The Behavioral Medicine clinic can assist those who are living with chronic medical conditions or those experiencing health-related issues that may be impacting their quality of life, relationships and emotional well-being. There are a number of medical diagnoses--such as cancer, heart disease, hypertension, and diabetes, and significant life events (e.g., accidents, surgery, trauma, pregnancy, miscarriage) that can contribute to various psychological symptoms. Examples of these symptoms include anxiety, depression, irritability, insomnia and relationship challenges. These medical conditions and health-related life events can be exacerbated by and/or contribute to the experience of chronic daily hassles and significant life stress.
