Dear students, alumni, employers, faculty and staff:

On behalf of Drexel University and the staff of the Steinbright Career Development Center (SCDC), I am delighted to welcome you to our web site.  We have made every effort to bring you information in these electronic pages which reflect all of the basic material students, employers and alumni require to effectively utilize the many services offered by the SCDC.  As you explore these pages, we welcome your comments on changes to the content.  If you wish to suggest changes please send these by email to SCDCweb@drexel.edu.

The mission of the SCDC is to serve students and alumni in cooperative education and graduate placement.  The SCDC staff integrates cooperative education experiences with students’ academic programs by teaching and prioritizing effective career management skills to empower our clients to construct career paths that maximize personal satisfaction.  In graduate career placement, the SCDC staff extends these principles to provide career advising, formal testing for those in career transition and placement for Drexel University students and alumni. 

The Steinbright Career Development Center is one of the most highly ranked co-op and career service organizations at any university in the country.  As such, our professionals work every day to insure that students and alumni obtain the maximum from their experiential and career placement activities.  This is achieved through personal counseling as well as through the use of advanced technology systems to provide excellent service delivery for our students, alumni and employers who are our partners in this enhanced model of education known as experiential education.  Each year, more than 9500 Drexel students are enrolled in co-op programs and the SCDC effectively manages more than 4,000 student placements into cooperative education work experiences.
