Research Day 2012 saw almost 500 exhibits from twelve different Drexel University colleges present their research projects at Drexel’s John A. Daskalakis Center on April 19.
Of the participants, 25 received awards in nine different categories ranging from undergraduate Computing to Bio-Modeling to Education and Outreach.
The day began with an early morning setup followed by over three hours of judging from a variety of faculty, staff and experts.
There were performances from the Creative Arts & Design students in the north gym which consisted of dances that went along with projects. The opportunity for students to perform allowed for them to convey their work to the judges in a unique and clear way.
After the presentations were judged and packed away, there was a closing reception where everyone who was a part of Research Day 2012 enjoyed in anticipation to hear if their tireless efforts earned an award.
