May 2012
Each year, we host a University-wide Research Day to celebrate the many contributions that you all make to our knowledge enterprise. This year, this special event took place at the Daskalakis Athletic Center on Thursday, April 19.
I am indebted to those of you who contributed to almost 500 exhibits, to our 200 judges, and to those who simply dropped by to expand their minds and to provide moral support to more than a thousand contributors. The breadth of research, scholarly and creative activities on display, both in the work presented in posters and performances, and in the animated and professional presentations of our students, was simply remarkable.
Thank you all for making the day a resounding success. It is an honor and a privilege to work with you on creating such a forward-looking and inclusive knowledge enterprise.
Til next time,
Deb
Deborah L. Crawford, Ph.D.
Senior Vice Provost for Research
