Replacement of Diploma

When a graduate requests a new diploma because of name change, damage to diploma, replacement, he/she must follow these procedures:
  1. Student must send a notarized statement to the Office of the Registrar (see addressses lsited below) to the effect that he/she wishes a new diploma and indicating the reason why. (If the diploma has been lost or completely destroyed, the statement must indicate this). If you graduated from University City Main Campus only, please fill out the following replacement form.
  2. Unless the diploma has been completely destroyed or lost, it must be mailed to the Univeristy Registrar's Office. (It will be destroyed when the new diploma is issued.)- The Univeristy does not issue additional diplomas
  3. Inform us in writing the exact way the name appears on the original and the way it should appear on the reissued diploma. Indicate the exact date of issuance of the original diploma. If the diploma is from the Medical School please state whether it was a Woman's Medical College, Medical College of Pennsylvania, Hahnemann Medical College & Hospital, Hahnemann University School of Medicine, MCP Hahnemann University School of Medicine or Drexel University College of Medicine diploma.
  4. The reissued diploma will be from Drexel University and will have an engrossed statement at the bottom of the diploma specifically stating that it replaces the other diploma issued from the previous institution. It will not be an exact duplicate of the original diploma. All College of Medicine and Health Sciences will be issued under Drexel University.
  5. Mail a check payable in the amount of $50.00 to Drexel University. Delivery of the new diploma will take at least two months. It will be sent via Registered Mail to the respective address requested with return receipt
