Title: Adaptive Technology Assistant, Disability Services |
Description:
Assist students with disabilities to use text-to-speech software (Kurzweil),
screen magnification software (Zoomtext), and CCTV (closed circuit
TV Assist students in the coordination of classroom materials (textbooks,
other reading assignments) into alternate formats (E- Text, audio,
large print) Assist Disability Services staff with maintenance and
troubleshooting of adaptive software located in library and IRT Assist
staff in writing “quick guides” and tutorials for hardware and software
used by students with disabilities. |
Qualifications:
Knowledge, experience with computer operating systems, hardware and
software for IBM and Macintosh computers, using Windows, DOS, network,
and Internet application, Microsoft products (Word, Excel, Access)
Strong verbal and written communication skills Strong problem solving
skills Detail oriented Ability to multi-task Reliability Willingness
and ability to learn a large number of adaptive hardware and software
tools |
