Jefferson Science Fellowships

The Jefferson Science Fellowships from the National Academies and the Department of State/USAID support tenured science and engineering faculty for a one-year assignment as science advisors with the State Department/USAID, with placement based on the Fellows area of expertise and the needs overseas.  The purpose is to engage American academics (from science and engineering fields) in US foreign policy, helping to create US international policy based on an appropriate understanding of science and technology.
