If you are looking for help in one or more of your courses, we encourage you to speak with your faculty and/or teaching assistant. Tutoring is managed by the departments. Support currently exists in each of the following content areas:
- Biology: Support is available this winter in Stratton 106 during the following times (subject to change by the Biology Department): Mondays 10-2, Tuesdays 10-4, Wednesdays 11-5, Thursdays 10-4, Fridays 10-2.
- Business: Appointment-based support for select business courses through the Drexel Learning Center. The course list is updated as staffing changes.
- General Chemistry: Support is available this winter in Stratton 106 during the following times (subject to change by the Chemistry Department): Mondays 2-4, Tuesdays 12-2, Wednesdays 3-5, Thursdays 1-3, Fridays 12-5. Please note: the primary focus is on the general chemistry sequence; tutors may or may not be able to provide support for upper level courses.
- Computer Science: Drop-in support is available through the Cyber Learning Center, located in University Crossings 147.
- Engineering: Appointment-based support for sophomore-level engineering and above is available through the Drexel Learning Center. The course list is updated as staffing changes.
- Math: Drop-in support is available through the Math Resource Center, located in Korman 247.
- Media Arts & Design: Appointment-based support for Physics for Design is available through the Drexel Learning Center via Charles Cerrone; appointments can be scheduled by e-mailing him at csc55@drexel.edu.
- Nursing and Health Professions: Appointment-based support is available through the Center for Academic Success (CAS), located in New College 1602.
- Philosophy: Appointment-based support is available through the Philosophy department. Students should contact Dr. Peter Amato, director of the Philosophy program for additional information at peterama@drexel.edu or the tutor, James Taylor, at james.e.taylor@drexel.edu. Drop-in support is available between 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM in MacAlister 5060 on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
- Physics: Support is available this winter in Stratton 106 during the following times (subject to change by the Physics Department): Mondays 12-6, Tuesdays 12-6, Wednesdays 12-6, Thursdays 12-7, Fridays 12-5. (For Physics for Design, see Media Arts above.)
- Statistics: Drop-in support is available through the Decision Sciences Tutoring Center, located on the second floor of the Peck Problem Solving & Research (PSR) Center.
- Writing-Intensive Courses: Appointment-based and asynchronous support is available through the Writing Center.
Additional support may be available through your faculty, TAs, learning communities, and/or discipline-specific student organizations.
