Dr. Barbara Hornum is the Director of the DCAE. Dr. Hornum is Associate Professor of Anthropology in the Department of Culture and Communication and a recent Chair of the Faculty Senate. As many faculty members know, Dr. Hornum also served as Associate Provost and Dean of Undergraduate Affairs from 1996 to 2002. During this time, she was responsible for initiating the University's faculty development programs, including department head training, new faculty workshops, promotion and tenure workshops, and the now-famous Teaching Portfolio Workshop featuring Dr. Peter Seldin.
