Provost Office: Memorandum
To: All Faculty and Teaching Staff
From: John Dinardo, Vice Provost for Academic Affairs
Subject: Rosh Hashanah Holiday
Date: 24 July 2006
I am writing in advance of the Fall 2006 quarter to inform you that the Rosh Hashanah holiday falls on September 23rd and 24th, which are days that many students will be moving onto campus. Therefore, students who observe this holiday may be moving in on Monday, September 25th, the first day of classes.
In recognition of this important religious holiday, I ask that instructors excuse those students who may not be in attendance at class on Monday, September 25, 2006.
For clarification, please consult the Religious Observance Statement found at http://www.drexel.edu/provost/policies/religious_observances.asp, which is currently being updated for AY 06-07, or contact me at dinardo@drexel.edu.
Thank you for your consideration.
