I am pleased to announce the appointment of Prof. Jennifer Rosato as Acting Dean of the College of Law. This appointment will help ensure a smooth beginning to the operation of the College of Law as the newly hired faculty and admitted students arrive on campus during the summer. The search for the permanent Dean is continuing.
Prof. Rosato joins us from Brooklyn Law School, where she served as Associate Dean as well as Co-Director of the Center for Health, Science and Public Policy. She received her Bachelor's Degree from Cornell University and is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania Law School.
Prof. Rosato was one of first of the Law School faculty to be hired and is a nationally recognized legal educator and scholar. Her areas of interest are at the intersection of family law and bioethics.
Prof. Rosato has written articles on health care decision making for children, and assisted reproductive technology. She has been actively involved in the Genome Justice Project of the National Association of Women Judges, which assists judges in preparing for the scientific, ethical and legal aspects of cases involving genetic technology. She is currently involved in the Family Law Education Reform Project, which seeks to bridge the gap between law school education and family law practice.
