National Action Council for Minorities in Engineering) NACME
NACME is responsible for more than $4 million in scholarships awarded annually to under-represented minority students. Through the NACME Scholars Program, NACME provides block grants to colleges and universities that, in turn, give the money to talented African American, American Indian, and Latino students enrolled in engineering programs as part of their financial aid packages.

Graduate School IGERT Opportunities
IGERT programs are recruiting graduate students for next year. IGERT programs provide generous stipend ($30,000 per year) and tuition support for students through the National Science Foundation. Their website has links to over 100 programs throughout the nation that offer this support.

Mercedes Benz "Drive Your Future" Scholarship Program (Deadline has passed)
Mercedes-Benz USA and dealers nationwide are proud to offer scholarships to students across the country who demonstrate excellence in academic achievement, community service and school activities.

IBM Research Internship For Minority Students
IBM sponsors a research internship program for under-represented minorities. The goal is to encourage under-represented minority students to pursue graduate studies in science and engineering.

Bridging Scholarship Program for Study in Japan
The Bridging Scholarship program will award 50 scholarships to American students participating in study-abroad programs in Japan that begin in fall 2007. Undergraduate students majoring in any field of study and attending any recognized exchange or independent program in Japan are eligible to apply for these scholarships.

Recipients of Bridging scholarships will receive stipends ranging from $2,500 to $4,000, depending on the length of their study program in Japan. The deadline for applications is April 5, 2007. In addition, Morgan Stanley will award two $7,500 scholarships to undergraduate students who will be studying abroad in Japan during the 2007-2008 academic year and who have an interest in economics and international finance. Applicants must submit an essay on one of several designated public-policy topics together with an application for the Bridging Scholarship program.
